Get to Know Your Therapist:
Adam Luke, LMFT
Therapy is undeniably one of the greatest passions of my life. The work I do as a therapist is only solidified by the fact that I have seen how powerful it is when we start speaking power to our own goals, ambitions, and values.
In therapy, I conceptualize my work with clients as being a fellow traveler on this journey to self-fulfillment. As a client, you are always in control of your final destination in our work together. But as your therapist, it is my task to identify the peaks, valleys, and multiple paths we can go to reach the goals we have identified together.
Therapy as a Sense of Opportunity
In who I am as a therapist, I am always seeking opportunities. What anxiety, depression, and dissatisfaction do as influences in our lives is build intellectual rigidity. The “nevers” come out.
- It’s never going to get better.
- I am never going to be happy.
- I am never going to have healthy relationships.
- I am never going to be loved.
- I am never going to be enough.
I have always said, “It’s difficult to drive a car if all we are looking at is the rearview mirror.” As we find ourselves hyper-focused on the trauma of past experiences, we continue to run headlong into the same challenges and obstacles in front of us.

What Do I Do?
I am your scheduler, phone answerer, and all-things-office-or-administrative-related person. When you call, you will most likely get me on the other end as Adam spends his time in therapy with clients. If you are in need of an emergency session, I will make sure to fit that into Adam’s schedule as soon as possible. You are our priority.
*Please note that if you are asked to leave a message, your call will be returned within one business day.
Things I Love to Do
I LOVE to bake! During the pandemic, I learned how to make sourdough like it was a directive I had to complete for the president. It gave me something to accomplish in a completely uncertain time when all goals and happenings were basically canceled.
I love to go on hikes, camp, and go Overlanding with my husband (Adam), all to experience nature at its finest, most wild, and most beautiful.
I am a HUGE nerd—Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Battlestar Galactica, Marvel (sorry DC lovers!). If an author has created a different world I can immerse myself in; I am THERE!
